Well, I just coughed up my annual piece of lung to the IRS, unlike, say, Ingersoll-Rand (as noted in this week's New Yorker). Gee, maybe I should rent a shack in Bora Bora and claim foreign residency like they do in Bermuda.  Ingersoll-Rand re-incorporated last year in Bermuda, and, as a result, escaped $40 million in Federal corporate income taxes (not to mention whatever they got out of in New Jersey, where they're really based (or maybe it's debased).
