Schools are closed here in Baltimore. The grocery stores are out of flashlights, batteries, and bottled water–and the toilet paper is running thin. My wife ventured out to get food this morning; the Super Fresh had extra cashiers on duty to deal with the rush, but was planning to close at 3 PM.

Meanwhile, we're lashing down everything that could become a FOD hazard; the plants are pulled in under cover on the porch, and the trash cans are in a protective huddle with lids. I had the kids pull all of our plastic outdoor toddler toys inside–there's no bigger bummer than having your window taken out by a flying Little Tikes push toy.
